FGCU Immigration Regulations
FGCU students must maintain legal status while being enrolled in classes or they may not be qualified to continue their education at the university. Here a list of immigration regulations that FGCU requires for international students.​

F-1 Immigration Requirements
Required Documents
1.Passport
2.Visa
3.Form I-94 (Arrival/Departure Record)
4.Form I-20​​
University Responsibilities
The university is responsible must comply with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) with any information needed including:
1. Confirming students meet academic requirements
2. Ensuring legitimacy of documents
3. Processing documents
4. Keep track of international students records
5. Sign I-20’s

The Student’s Job
1. Be prepared and have all the required documentation. Call the International Services office in advance.
2. Have a current passport
3. The FGCU student must take classes based on degree requirements. Must be a full-time student.
4. The FGCU student must maintain a valid I-20.
5. FGCU students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours a week and the student must get a job authorized by a designated school official.
6. Don’t make any changes to your FGCU academic course load without speaking with a designated school official.
7. The FGCU student must have a current visa.
